New Brand, Who's This?

It's been 5 years since the What Next, Coach? brand was first launched and we've grown and evolved so much since then. From serving small businesses in the UK to moving our entire operations to Nigeria and repositioning ourselves for the African audience, it's been a thrilling rollercoaster ride.

Entering a new market was like starting all over again because we had to learn so much about our new audience - what they value, what they need, what they're willing to invest in - as well as the actual business environment they operate in. If you run a business in Nigeria or any emerging economy for that matter, you'll appreciate the intricacies and extra nuances we had to consider and work around.

Nonetheless, our resolve to continue serving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria and across Africa remains rock solid. It's also what has played a big part in our choosing to rebrand and upgrade our "look".

This was an emotional journey for me because I was attached to our previous brand colours and fonts but we had to accept that it did increasingly have an adverse effect on how our audience perceived us and the work we do. We exist to serve our audience so it'd be a shame if we're the ones pushing them away.

So what's (actually) new?

  • Our positioning. When you're feeling unwell in your body, you go to the hospital, yes? Regardless of what ailment you *think* you might have, you still go to the hospital to be sure what exactly the problem might be so that you fix it, specifically. In some cases, you might choose to run some tests in a medical lab to prove or disprove your suspicions. In both cases, you sought out an opinion instead of risking self-medication that won't help in the long-term. In the same vein, WNC is now positioned as "The SME Hospital" - when you suspect something is not quite right with your business, even if you have an idea what the issue might be, but you want to be really sure before spending time and money to solve it, then you come to us! We help you diagnose the actual problem then we either solve it for you in-house or we refer you to the right specialist you would need to work with. No more trial-and-error!

  • Our logo. Simply put, we grew up. Our previous font and style greatly affected the perception of our brand. Many people with no prior knowledge of what we do as a company thought we were some sort of educational institution for young people while some others felt we were a female empowerment organisation because of our pink and blue colours. Far less people that we would have liked, actually associated us with business support.

  • Our brand colours. We are now as plain as black and white. These colours represent our continued commitment to you, which is that whatever we promise you is exactly what you'll get from us plus more - the highest possible standards of professionalism, expertise and results you'll be very pleased with. You'll never leave us worse than you were when you first came to us.

  • Our name. Technically, our name hasn't changed in spirit. We simply adopted the abbreviation of our name, "WNC". It flows with our new logo and it's shorter. However, our domains, emails, social media pages and other internet infrastructure we currently own will still carry the full name to avoid any disruption to us serving you excellently.

Ready to get started?

Now that you're up to speed with our exciting new changes, why not kick start your journey with us in one of the following risk-free ways:

  • Assess the health of your business - If you know your business needs to move to the next level but you're not clear on how it's currently performing across different business areas, let alone what needs to be improved, we can run your company through a Business Health Assessment over at our virtual Business Diagnostics Lab for just ₦3,000 / $6.50 /£5. It's a quick and simple but detailed check-box questionnaire that takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Once we have your answers, you'll receive your detailed results and prescriptions within 72 hours, via WhatsApp & Email.

  • Book a no-fee 15-minutes consultation - Prefer to speak with someone first before taking the health assessment? No problem! This quick call with one of our Associate Business Doctors will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have or to just learn more about how we can help your business based on its current situation.

That's all the juicy info we have for you, for now! But permit me to use this opportunity to thank you for sticking with us all these years and being a part of our story.

Myself and my team look forward to serving you for many more years. Cheers to thriving, healthier businesses!

Cheers,

Stephanie Anyamele,
